I’m William Ditzig, but most people call me Billy. I am an entrepreneurial minded designer and communications specialist by training, but the Adobe suite isn’t the only tool in my shed. I have experience in creating from all sorts of mediums and I love doing it.

First off, let me say thank you for taking the time to check out my website, and portfolio, resume, whatever it is, thank you for taking the time to check out my work. I have worked with some amazing people in my past and I’m excited to show some of that work off we’ve created in a central place for the first time. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of these projects, and included me in theirs so I can continue to keep creating.

Next, before you’ve checked out my resume I’d like to take a minute to explain my 8 year associates degree.. I know, I took the long way through school. I wanted to learn a lot of different things. So, I majored in pretty much everything.. When I first moved to Salt Lake in 2007, I majored in Fashion Design at the Salt Lake Institute of Fashion, but I was making stuff and wanted to learn how to sell it, so I took communications classes, marketing classes, writing classes, art classes, business classes, design classes, photo, film and production classes, any class that offered the thing I needed to learn next. I really loved school but for some reason had a lot of apprehension with changing and hyper focusing on a major so I never did the basic education classes. It got to the point where I literally got called into my advisors office and was told I had reached my maximum credit limit and needed to complete my degree. With that, I took a final math class and completed my Associates Degree in Communications in 2015. I know it’s just an associates degree but it’s one where I learned a ton and I wouldn’t trade my experience for any other.

Since graduating I have co-opened a brick and mortar Skateboard and Snowboard Shop in downtown Salt Lake City. Designed actual products and marketing campaigns that raised over a million dollars on crowdfunding platforms, and worked for an international corporation creating product designs & marketing material in 5 different languages.

I’ve learned a lot where I’ve come from and I continue to grow, learn, and develop my art more everyday. I’m thankful for those I’ve gotten to work with in the past and excited for who I may get to work with in the future. I’m an optimistic extrovert who loves a challenge and creating designs that create emotion and reaction. I’d love to hear more about your projects and discuss how I could be of benefit to your team.

Thanks again for checking out my work in progress of a portfolio, If you have any questions, comments, ideas, or just want to chat please feel free to reach out to me through the contact tab.

Respectfully,

Billy
